National Monument in state ownership no. 567. Situated on top of high ground in upland area with panoramic views from NW-N-E, higher ground to S. Present remains consists of a circular area (diam. c. 45.7m) defined by a well preserved flat-topped earthen bank (Wth c. 2-3m; int. H c. 0.7m-1.5m, ext. H c. 1-2.5m) and external fosse (Wth c. 3.8m; ext. D 0.5-1m) that has been filled in from NE-E. Interior of monument entered through a well preserved causewayed entrance (Wth 2-4m; L 9m) at NNE. Interior of monument covered in bracken and briars, enclosing bank partially covered in bracken and small trees. External fosse waterlogged on upslope from SE-S-W. Partial remains of an outer bank or field boundary of post medieval date visible at W.
