Unlocated house within townland, described by Carrigan as 'A Catholic gentleman named Jemmy or Shaemeen Clarke, a relative of Clarke, Duc de Feltre, lived here about 1770. He was a famous hurler. The site of his residence, an old mansion or castle, is pointed out in the "Old Street" of Aharney' (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 309).
