A monastery was founded here under the patronage of St. Cronan. Situated on a ridge in NW corner of graveyard. The existing church ruins (LA030-026) measured 45ft x 18ft. (O'Byrne, D. 1856, 50-51). Headstones post date 1700 AD.
Roughly D-shaped graveyard (int. dims. 39m N-S; 37m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall containing post 1700 AD memorials.
