Situated in the grounds of Haywood House. A circular flat-topped earthen mound (summit diam. c. 18.6m; base diam. c. 40m, H c. 3.5m - 9.5m) with possible fosse at SE and SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
