In an upland area. Associated with St. Kieran of Ossory. A hawthorn bush known as 'St. Kieran's Bush' is situated in NW angle of graveyard (LA022-013002-) (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 129-130). The remains of this hawthorn bush can still be seen in the NW quadrant of the graveyard.
