Situated in an elevated position. Dedicated to St. Fintan who resided here before moving to Clonenagh. (Comerford 1886, vol. 3, 337-338). A divided nave and chancel church (LA017-014) built of rubble limestone, roughly coursed. Visible inscribed headstones post date 1700 AD. Roughly square shaped graveyard (int. dims. 31m N-S; 44m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall containing post 1700 AD memorials.
