What is recorded here

Marked on the 1909 edition of the OS 6-inch map asa subcircular enclosure (max. diam. c. 55m NE-SW). A bank (ext. H c. 1.8m) is visible from W-N. Old buildings run along the E side of site. No visible surface remainss of fosse or original entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
