Marked on the Map of Leix and Offaly 1563 (Hore 1863, f.p. 345). Church (LA014-003-) possibly dedicated to The Blessed Virgin Mary (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 273). Situated in undulating countryside. An undivided nave and chancel church constructed of roughly coursed limestone blocks. No remains survive of the graveyard that is indicated on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map or of any enclosure belonging tot he graveyard. On first edition of the OS 6-inch map church is located in N quadrant of graveyard. Described in the History of Queens County as ' small grave-yard , now disused for interments, although traces of many graves and headstones are to be seen (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 273).
