This font was removed from the original site (LA008-014001-) and is now located in St. John's Church (LA008-010) in Morett. Font in St John's church (Gandon building), moved from grounds of Emo Park demesne (LA009-006-) in c. 1935 may originally been in Coolbanagher church (LA008-014001-). Octagonal basin (max. int. diam. 0.575m, max. D 0.25m, T of wall 0.10m) with central drain hole, set on modern base. Eight panels elaborately decorated with carvings in relief some with angels others with foliate designs and divided from each other by a twisted vine. The font is punch dressed and is therefore late rather than high medieval in date. (Fitzgerald 1904, 196-7; Roe 1947, 82-3)

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
