Unlocated church and graveyard within townland of Clonehurk, described by O'Hanlon and O'Leary in History of Queens County as 'About two had a half miles from Portarlington are to be seen the ruins of an old church within a graveyard at Cloneyhorke; the foundations are now almost the only portions remaining, and these measure about 40 feet in length by 18 in width. The castle of the O'Dempseys is in ruins, and to be seen not far apart.'

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
