Located beside a stream. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3391, E3645). An isolated earth-cut trough 20m NE of a fulacht fia (KK040-093----). The trough (2.2m E-W; 1.7m N-S; D 0.61m) was roughly oval in plan with sloping sides and a flattish base and it was filled with tightly compacted charcoal and heat-shattered sandstone. Two other fulachta fia (KK040-091---- and KK040-092----) were excavated in the same area. (Wren 2010a; 2010b, 243-4, 916)
