What is recorded here

In level terrain, under pasture. A roughly circular area (int. diam. 32m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by earthen bank (Wth at crest 1.2-2m; overall Wth 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.5-1m), best preserved in the E half, with traces of an external fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.3m) in the NE sector only. There are gaps in the bank at the N (Wth 2m), E (Wth 4m) and W (Wth 1.5m), with the eastern gap probably the original entrance. There are trees growing around the perimeter, the interior is under grass. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 24 July 2023
