A vertical-wheeled water mill indicated on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Kells, Co. Kilkenny (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). It is located on the on the E bank of the River Glory, c. 250m S of where it joins with the Kings River. A corn mill is shown at this location on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map but that building does not appear on the most recent OS mapping. Though is possible that the Down Survey mill was at this location, the precise location of the mill is unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
