Associated with the medieval church of Newtown Earley (KK027-012001-) and uncovered during a clean-up of graveyard in 1985-7 (KK027-012009-) (Harte 1987, 408-17). Currently lying within the church.
A tapering slab (L 1.97m; Wth at top 0.63m; Wth at base 0.37m), with chamfered edge, decorated with an incised four-armed floriated with a circle at the centre of the cross-head. The shaft terminates in a fleur-de-lys, with a knop above it. There is an inscription in Lombardic script on the upper surface along the dexter side. Stylistically this graveslab dates to the 13th/14th century. Harte (1987, 415, no. 26) has an illustration with dimensions of this slab but no description. It is very similar to another graveslab (KK027-012017-) in the assemblage, which also has a Lombardic inscription.
