According to Carrigan (1905, 335) the original parish church of Cooliagh (KK026-036----) was situated in the townland of ‘Kyle’, together with its graveyard (KK026-036001-), in the ‘churchyard field’, but had been uprooted and ‘subject to the plough’. In the corner of the churchyard field was a well called ‘Thubberakilleen’. The precise location of the holy well within the townlands of Kyle East and Kyle West is unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
