According to O'Leary (1948, 24), a font from the medieval church at Ullard (KK025-038001-) was removed in 1814 and brought to the Cistercian abbey (KK029-018001-) at Graiguenamanagh (see KK029-018013- font – present location), which lies 4.5km S of Ullard. It is described as, 'a large octagonal granite font with carved figures and ornaments in the Celtic style. Unfortunately those who wanted everything to be new in their restored Abbey Church chiselled them off' (ibid.).
