What is recorded here

In tillage. A possible rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 34m NW-SE; c. 15m NE-SW) visible as a cropmark on Google Earth (imagery date 14 July 2018), identified and reported by Simon Dowling. Only the S portion of the enclosure is visible, though presumably it continues N of the townland boundary which runs NW-SE through it, N of centre. If the enclosure continues N of the townland boundary is probably truncated by the road which runs immediately N of, and parallel to, the townland boundary. A field boundary, visible as a cropmark, runs NE-SW from the SW angle of the possible enclosure. See attached Google Earth image (imagery date 14 July 2018) Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 27 January 2020
