What is recorded here

In a reclaimed field. It is likely that there was a graveyard associated with the medieval church (KK024-083001-) of Kilbline, however, no graveyard is indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map or on the later revision of this map (1899-1902). When describing the medieval church, Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 485) mentions, ‘There is no trace of graveyard or graves’. This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
