Describing the monastic possessions at Annamult, Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 373) mentions the ‘Friar’s Barn’ (KK023-022----) and, ‘”Friars’ Chapel,” which is still pointed out at the distance of about 100yds. [c. 100m] from the Barn’. Though in the vicinity of the barn, the precise location of the chapel is unknown. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 8 September 2021

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
