What is recorded here

O'Kelly (1969, 175) refers to 'a mound called the Moat' in Graigue (Upper and Lower). This is likely to be a duplicate record and probably refers to either the enclosure (KK023-055----) in Oldtown townland immediately N of Graigue Lower or the enclosure (KK023-056----) in Newlands townland immediately N of Graigue Upper. There is no known archaeological monument in either Graigue Lower or Graigue Upper. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 7 September 2021

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows only the centre of the wider government map area. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
