The Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Crannagh depicts a substantial house in the SE portion of 'Duragh' townland, roughly equivalent to the modern townland of Doorath (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). The house is not indicated on the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of Ballycallan but the accompanying terrier describes, 'a faire house at Duragh', and lists 'John Grace Protestant' as the proprietor in 1640, whose lands were 'unforfeited'. The precise location of the house within the SE portion of the townland is unknown.
