A roughly square enclosure (dims. c. 30-35m N-S and E-W). On the 1899-1900 revision of the OS 6-inch map a well is indicated on the E side of the enclosure, feeding a stream which runs S and then E from the well. It is likely that the well also fed a wet moat surrounding the enclosure. The moated site is hachured on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map while on the 1899-1900 revision the S and W sides are indicated by a field boundary and the N and E sides are not depicted. The monument is overgrown with trees and scrub.
