According to Carrigan (1905, 359), 'the saint's church in Kilmogar stood to the west of the public road from Clara to Johnswell, in a field called Gorrynahoa. Its site is still pointed out on the top of a gentle rise about the middle of the field. This church, which mush have been a building of the earliest times, disappeared ages ago, and nothing now marks the spot but some slight trenches and mounds'. The precise location of this monument within the townland is unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
