Within the medieval church of Kylebeg (KK020-057001-). Lying near the S wall of the chancel, at the E end, embedded in the ground. A large rectangular (L 1.5m; Wth 0.52m) limestone recumbent slab. It is decorated in relief with a seven-armed segmental-headed cross with fleur-de-lis terminals, a three-barred knop beneath the cross-head and a banded shaft. A latin inscription in raised Black Letter script runs in a narrow border across the top and down the sinister side of slab. The inscription has been transcribed by Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 414) as, 'Hic jacet Elisia Blancheuld fi[li]a q obit vi die mensis Desember 1581' and translated as, 'Here lies Ellis, daughter of Leonard Blanchville, who died, Dec. 6th, 1581'.
