In tillage. Identified during fieldwalking in advance of the construction of the Cork-Dublin gas pipeline (Sleeman 1983, 365-6). Described as a, 'large area (11m x 6m) of black soil and shattered sandstone fragments. The area was generally horse-shoe shaped in plan. The site was probably a fulacht fiadh' (ibid.).
