What is recorded here

In pasture. An irregular enclosure indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map with a small quarry 12m to the N. A townland boundary runs N-S c. 30m to the E and a stream rises at a spring named on the OS map as Tobernaleabe, c. 160m to the E and flows SSW. A field boundary runs along the S and W perimeter of the enclosure. On the 1900 revision the enclosure is depicted as being slightly more square (dims. c. 50m N-S and E-W) with an indent towards the interior midway along the N bank. The monument is visible on satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 17 November 2020) with trees/scrub growing on the bank while the interior is under grass.
