On the E floodplain of a small tributary of the river Nore. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme (Licence no. E3734). A subrectangular area (36m x 30m) defined at W by a linear ditch with large sumps to help contain flood water. A house site (KK019-134----), a shed, a kiln and possibly a garden lay in the interior. A kiln was located at the SE corner. The settlement appears to have been deliberately dismantled and abandoned by the end of the 14th century. (Devine and Kealy 2009; Devine 2010)
