In St Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-). The lower of two portions (see also KK019-026533-) of the lower part of limestone graveslab (lower slab L 0.42m; Wth at base 0.49m; D 0.16m). It has a steep chamfer (Wth 0.12m on both sides). It is decorated with an incised cross, this portion of the slab contains the lower end of the cross-shaft (Wth 0.045m) which terminates with a barred knop above a fleur-de-lis. There is an incised inscription in Lombardic script along the sinister side which is clearly visible. The upper portion of the slab (KK019-026233-) reads: …STA DE C and the inscription continues on this lower slab with: LIFTVN, it translates as the name of the person commemorated on the tomb, ….sta de Cliftun.    Compiled by: Jean Farrelly
