What is recorded here

Originally from the medieval parish church (KK019-026115-) of St Mary's, Kilkenny city. Currently in the OPW store, Kilkenny (Kilkenny depot stone carving number: KD042). A tapering limestone slab, the lower portion of which is missing (Wth at top 0.59m; Wth towards base 0.54m; surviving L 1.3m; T 0.195m). All surfaces have a highly polished finish. The top and sinister side has an upper (Wth 0.07m) and lower (Wth 0.065-0.07m) chamfer while the dexter side is straight. It is decorated with a raised cross with fleur-de-lys terminals and there is a knop along the shaft. The cross arms and shaft and badly spalled. The upper portion of the gravelsab has some bad cracks. Stylistically this dates to the 13th/14th century.
