At St Mary's parish church (KK019-026115-) in Kilkenny, built into the cross wall constructed in 1804 connecting the SW side of the church with the graveyard wall. A rectangular early to mid-17th century unfinished cartouche panel (L 0.59m; Wth 0.49m), composed of fossiliferous limestone. The top portion of the panel bears an heraldic shield and mantling, the whole of which Crotty (1978, 313) states is unfinished, ‘the part of the shield which can be seen is blank, and there is an uncarved area awaiting the addition of the crest’.
