The terrier which accompanies the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of Ballycallan describes, ‘at Currokehoe a Church’ (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). There is no church indicated in this townland on the barony map of Crannagh or on the parish map of Ballycallan.
