According to Holahan (1883, 86-7), some of the stones from the church of Kilballykeefe (KK022-015001-) were 'removed to Ballycallan for the purpose of building a porch to the old chapel (the present schoolhouse)'. When visited in 1994 no medieval fabric was visible amongst the external limestone rubble of the schoolhouse which was rendered internally.
