What is recorded here

Not indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map where a small woodland plantation is depicted. By the 1900 revision the woodland is gone and the monument has been revealed. It consists of a roughly circular enclosure (int. diam. c. 34m) with a fosse and outer bank indicated in the NE-E-SE sector. A stream runs NW-SE near the NE edge and another runs NE-SW immediately to the S-SE. On satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 9 July 2020) the monument appears heavily overgrown with trees with woodland to the N, E and W. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 9 July 2020

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
