In poor marshy pasture on the floor of a NE-SW running valley, on land sloping gently to the SE. There are fair views within the valley floor. During the construction of the Cork-Dublin gas pipeline two postholes, a spread of burnt stone and charcoal were uncovered (Sleeman 1983, 365-6).
