On a steep slope with a stream to the W and a stream gorge to the E. Indicated on the 1902 OS 6-inch map as an oval wooded area. On inspection the field was found to be reclaimed and there was no visible trace at ground level. A second oval wooded area is indicated in the same townland (KK015-088----). Either of these may be the rath noted in this townland by O’Kelly (1969, 82) as having been destroyed in 1961.
