Slightly below the crest of a NW-SE gravel ridge along the E side of the Nore river valley, in rolling grassland. There are fair to good views in all directions. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) delimited by wide fosse from E-S-W identified as a cropmark on a number of aerial photographs (CUCAP ASW041, 17 July 1967; AVO092, 17 July 1968; BGG 039, 16 July 1971; BOD030, 10 July 1973). A strip of woodland plantation, which runs roughly E-W to the N, encroaches into the NW-N sector. It is not visible at ground level. There is another enclosure (KK014-052----) c. 80m to the SE.
See attached aerial photographs (CUCAP AVO092, 17 July 1968; BOD032, 10 July 1973)
