The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of ‘Killmodum’ (NLI MS720) states there are 'cabbins' on the townland of 'Ballifoile'. The precise location of these 17th-century houses within the townland is unknown. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 19 May 2020
