What is recorded here

The Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Cranagh depicts a crenelated couple of houses in Killaghy Parish, slightly S, and on either side, of the castle (KK013-069001-). The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map mentions, 'some houses thereon' and lists 'John Grace P[ro]testant' as the proprietor in 1640. These are unlocated within the townland. See attached map and terrier. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 25 March 2020

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
