On W side of the N-S portion of a valley predominantly orientated NE-SW. Land drops steeply E to the valley floor and initially rises gently to the W and then more steeply, in pasture. There are good views to the N, E and S and to the W is limited to the side of the valley. A roughly circular area (int. diam. c. 41m N-S; c. 37m E-W; overall diam. c. 55m N-S; c. 46m E-W) enclosed by a bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.7m; Wth at crest 2m; overall Wth 3m) and external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.9m).
