On W side of the N-S portion of a NE-SW valley, on a gently sloping E-facing terrace between the steeper upper and lower slopes of the valley. The fields about extensively reclaimed in the 1980s. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and the 1900 revision as a large circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) with a farm trackway running NW-SE through the N-NE sector. The monument, though levelled, is visible on satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 20 March 2020).
