On a broad flat-topped ridge in grassland. There are good views in all directions. A roughly D-shaped area (int. dims. 26m N-S; 31m E-W) enclosed by low wide earthen bank (Wth at top 1-2m; overall Wth 5m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2m) and fosse (Wth 3m; D 1.2m). There is a very slight outer bank (Wth 1.2m; H 0.2m), though this is probably a more modern field boundary. The E sector is relatively straight. The fosse is best preserved in the N, S and W sectors. There is an entrance gap with a causeway (Wth 2.5m) across fosse at the W.
