On the N-facing slope of Graine hill, in rolling grassland. The interior and perimeter are quite overgrown with trees and scrub. A roughly circular area (int. dims. 30m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by low, earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2m) with external fosse (Wth 5m) which is best preserved in the S sector where it is re-cut to form a field boundary. There is an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at the SW with ramped causeway across the fosse. The interior slopes steeply to the N, following the natural topography.
