What is recorded here

On a flat terrace between the plain to the S and the rise to Clomantagh hills to the N, in reclaimed grassland. There are good views to the S and fair elsewhere. This monument is heavily overgrown with dense scrub. It is depicted on the 25-inch OS map as a sub-circular area (diam. c. 31m N-S; c. 34m E-W) with fairly straight sides to SE and SW, enclosed by a bank (Wth at crest c. 2m; int. H c. 0.5m; ext. H c. 2m) and fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 0.5m). The 25-inch map shows an outer bank (overall diam. c. 45m N-S; c. 48m E-W) which has been either incorporated in or replaced by a field boundary running NE-SW along the NW sector.
