On a low hillock amidst generally rolling and undulating terrain, surrounded by tillage and pasture. Very good views in all directions. According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 366) this ringfort 'with underground chambers', is known as '"Raavloughlan's fort,"'. A roughly circular raised platform (max. dims. 35m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by a stony bank (Wth at crest 1m; overall Wth 4m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 2.5m), external flat-bottomed, steep-sided fosse (Wth 5m; 2.5m) and outer stony bank (Wth at crest 1.5m; overall Wth 3m; ext. H 1.2m) at E and S. The outer bank and fosse has been destroyed by a farm track in the N and W sectors. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2m) at the SE with a causeway over the fosse. There is a souterrain (KK012-012002-) in the W quadrant of the interior.
