What is recorded here

On a slight hill in rolling landscape of small hillocks and hollows, under grass. To the W the land is fairly low-lying and flat. There are very fine views in all directions. A circular raised platform (int. diam. 38m) enclosed by a slight flat-topped earthen bank (Wth at crest 1m; overall Wth 4m; int. H 1.2-1.5m; ext. H 2m), wide, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 3.5m; D 1.6m) and wide, flat-topped earthen outer bank (Wth at crest 2.5m; overall Wth 5.5m; ext. H 1.2m). There is an entrance in E (Wth 3m) with a break in both banks and a causeway across the fosse. The interior is level and featureless. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 14 May 2019
