Indicated — Knockanaddoge

On flat boggy ground on the N side of the Dinin Valley. This house with a yard to the N was not included in the SMR (1987) but was included in the RMP (1996) as 'Rectangular Enclosure'. The house and yard, with associated small fields, is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map. However, by the 1900 revision, the house and surrounding small fields are gone and only the footprint of the house and yard survive. It is evident as a rectangular area (dims. 17m N-S; 10m E-W) extending northward from the former house, enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1m; H 0.5m). A drain runs along the external base of the W bank of the yard (Wth 1m; D 0.2m). There are remnants of the house at the S end (int. dims. c. 8.5m N-S; 12m E-W; wall T 1.5m), though the N wall does not survive. The W gable projects out beyond the W bank of the yard, with a gap (Wth 1.5m) between the house and the yard. There is an entrance (Wth 4m) at the E end of the S wall of the house and a gap (Wth 2m) 2m N of the NE angle in the E wall. There are trees growing on the bank of the yard. A well is indicated on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map c. 75m NW of the house.
