A fulacht fia was identified near Foulksrath Castle (KK010-056001-), as the proceedings of the Royal Society of Antiquaries describe, 'A specimen from a large heap of stones broken small, which had been submitted to the action of fire, found on the land of M. James Ryan, of Foulksrath Castle; presented by Mr. James G. Robinson, Architect. There was also a quantity of burned earth found in connexion with the stones'. The precise location of this fulacht fia is unknown. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 14 January 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
