On gently sloping rolling grassland, on the floor of the Gloshia river valley, c. 350 W of the river. There are good views to the N and S along the valley and E across the valley, and fair to W across gently rising land. A roughly circular area (max. dims. 28m E-W, 24m N-S) enclosed by slight earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H c. 0.7m) and shallow external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m). There are two entrances, one at E (Wth 3m) and one at W (Wth 3m), one probably originally and the other a cattle gap. The interior, which is cattle poached, slopes to the W, following the natural fall in slope.
