At the W edge of a terrace between very steep lower valley sides and rolling uplands of E side of Dinin river valley. Shown as a large irregularly shaped enclosure (dims. c. 70m N-S; c. 65m E-W) on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, curving from S-W-N and forming an undulating edge on the E side, with a roadway skirting along the outer edge of the SW sector. On the 1947 revision of the OS 6-inch map the enclosure is no longer hachured and is depicted as a field. The enlcosure has since been levelled and is not visible at ground level, though the SW edge may still incorporated in the surviving field boundary.
