What is recorded here

In tillage. Aerial photographs (GB89.P.31 and P.38) show cropmarks of an extensive field system, defined by fosses, mainly rectilinear in character and in close association with a complex curvilinear enclosure (KK009-105----). These cropmarks are also visible on OS Ortho-imagery (viewed 31 July 2018) and appear to be different from the relict field system which is indicated on the 1st (1839) and revised 1900 eds of the 6-inch OS map and is also visible as cropmarks. Compiled by: Dr. Gillian Barrett for the Archaeological Survey of Ireland and Jean Farrelly Date of revised upload: 31 July 2018
